The two large lighting fixtures on the front of the Barbara Frum library mark the front entrance with upward illumination like a torch filling the area with a wash of white light.

The fixtures were first drawn to scale on masonite for a sense of their scale before fabricating them in steel. The plastic defusing lenses were custom formed in a vacuum oven.
