Before becoming the new offices for the Toronto Historical Board, the property at 205 Yonge Street belonged to CIBC Bank. Unused for years, the entire property had to be restored and important architectural components had to be replaced. Two important missing items were the chandeliers and the semicircle window grills. The window grills were hand forged and assembled in the same manner as the originals with each grill matched to its window.

Reproduction chandeliers were custom fabricated. As with the original chandeliers, the custom glass shades were slumped over a curved mould. The “goose neck” supports were cast out bronze.
